IDgo eliminates the use of one-time passcodes with the Q2 online banking platform. This is because one-time passcodes are vulnerable to social engineering attacks that can enable bad actors to take over online accounts.
IDgo adds biometric authentication capability to Q2 online banking accounts.
IDgo enhances the security of the "Forgot Password" process by eliminating the use of (vulnerable) one-time passcodes and replacing this authentication method with secure biometric authentication.
IDgo leverages mobile device and network security technologies to offer secure authentication and allow each consumer to employ methods of authentication enabled by their device, e.g., biometrics (FaceID, fingerprint, iris), device passcode or screen pattern lock.
Each enterprise is empowered to configure which consumers are enabled with IDgo authentication using the IDgo Adminstration module in Q2 Central.
Consumers are not required to initiate an enrollment process to enable IDgo authentication.
After being enabled by their enterprise, consumers are able to use IDgo without friction during their next account login.
IDgo offers an "omni-channel" solution that delivers the same secure authentication experience in both the "online" channel (online banking) and "offline" engagement channels such as contact centers, interactive voice response (IVR) and interactive voice agent (IVA) channels, interactive teller machines (ITMs), and in person.
The integration of IDgo with Q2 online banking is completely a no code implementation. Financial institutions simply configure consumers to have access to IDgo authentication via Q2 Central and enabled users will be presented with IDgo authentication at their next account login.
